How to Fix Skype “Disk Full” Error in Windows 7

Looks like Skype is aware of the issue because their staff is participating in discussions around how to fix it, which means there’s good chance they’re working on a solution right now. Until they do fix it with an update there are a few things you can try to fix it yourself.

The easiest thing to do is to install PCKeepr or Avira or any maintenance software to fix all kinds of errors in the background without your involvement for better digital experience. This is the solution if you’re not into techy stuff or if you can’t afford the time to find and try solutions every time you have a Windows error.

Other suggestions is that you close skype and restart it or restart the computer. You can also close Skype. Then open Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Esc) and go to the Processes tab. Look for Skype.exe, and click End Process. Then restart Skype. If you don’t care about keeping your user data you can also delete the Skype user data folder.

You can always reinstall Skype by going to the Add/Remove programs from the control panel, locate Skype and uninstall it, then restart the computer before you reinstall from Skype.com.

A check disk could also help. This is done by going to “Run” (by clicking on “start”), typing “cmd” in the search box, and in the console (the black window that will come up)  chkdsk /f /r and follow the instructions.

The above are the solutions that other users responded to as useful. I hope this helps.
